Description		    Discourses for Shabbat, special occasions, and eulogies by R. Judah ben Caleb Benveniste. The title page has a decorative frame and is dated from the verse, “[In his days] Judah (Yo’adah) shall be saved (Tivsha), and Israel shall dwell safely” (Jeremiah 23:6), from which the book title is also taken. On the verso of the title page is the introduction of the Ben Zion Benveniste, the author’s son. The introduction is comprised of seven paragraphs, the first six beginning with the word ben and concluding with the word rav. The text follows, in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and intial words. At the end of the volume is an index of sources.

The discourses in Tivsha Yo’adah are on varied subjects, and several topics are the subject of more than one discourse. For example, the first six discourses are on Shabbat Teshuva, followed by four on Sahbbat Habasha, five on Shabbat Zikkor, four on Shabbat ha-Gadol, five on Sahbbat Calah, and five on Nissuin. The text concludes with six eulogies.
