Detailed Description |
|
Various responsa that reveals the social conditions of New York City circa 1900. The responsa include such problems as if one may construct a sukkah on the fire escape as the total space is below the amount required by halacha. Another deals with allowing non-observant Kohanim to join the priestly services on the Holidays. May one use the ferry on the Sabbath to come to synagogue? How does one form an "eiruv" in a tenement with gentile neighbors? |
