Commentary and novellae on Torah and Talmud. Novellae on the weekly portions of the Torah by R. Solomon b. Saul Nahmias. Through page 6, brief comments on the portions of Genesis and Exodus, and the remainder of the volume extended comments on the portions of Genesis. The author is a descendent of R. Messaoud Nahmias (d. 1876), a former chief Rabbi of Casablanca. The author’s father, R. Saul also wrote Sefer Giv`at Sha'ul (Tangier 1905) commentary on the Five Scrolls; Va-Yaget le-Sha'ul (Tunis 1909) novellae; Va-Yisma Sha'ul (Tunis 1909) on Shulhan Arukh; Kodesh Hilulim (Tunis 1910) on Talmud; Bet Sha'ul (Tunis 1931) on Prophets; Va-Yomer Sha'ul (Tunis 1931) kabbalah; and several more works.. |
