Only edition of these elucidations on Yoreh De’ah Hilkhot Nidah and Mikva’ot by R. Schneur Susskind ben Zevi Hirsch Gondersheim. The title page informs that R. Gondersheim was av bet din in Tryr and Rosh Bet din in his birth place, Frankfort a. Main. The title page is dated from the verse, “The Torah of the wise is a fountain of life” (Proverbs 13:14). At the bottom of the page is the attractive pressmark of Zevi Hirsch Segal (Spitz), consisting oif a deer facing a pitcher within an oval frame. There is a detailed introduction followed by the text, which is comprised of the Shulhan Arukh in the center of the page and about it two commentaries. In the inner column is Mekor Hayyim, in the outer column Tiferet Zevi. Mekor Hayyim is a commentary on the Shulhan Arukh, sources and final pesak. Tiferet Zevi is pilpul (casuistry) on pertinent gemaras in tractate Nidah. The text covers Shulhan Arukh Yoreh De’ah 183 through 200. The volume concludes with errata. |
