Description		    Artisitic printed edition of Megillat Esther. The title page describes it as Megillat Esther with ornamentation by Joseph Kaplan and illustrations by J. Mohar מוהר, G. Dora דורע, and A. Havenor הוינער according to the Talmud and Midrash. The volume begins with a page with an intricate border and Esther and Mordecai at the sides that says Meshlach Manot for and leaves a blank space to be filled in. It is followed by an introductory page which includes an explanation of the symbolism in the borders. The title page follows, with an artistic frame topped by a crown. Each page of text has a border and almost all the text pages have a full facing page with an illustration of a scene in the Megillah. The entire text and the illustrations are all in green. The enumeration includes the blank pages between the text and illustrated pages. The original wrappers are present, the front wrapper a reproduction of the title page.
