Description		    Only edition. 104 pp., 263:185 mm., wide margins, light age staining. A very good copy bound in contemporary boards, rubbed and split. Rare.
          
Detailed
Description		    Only edition of these homiles on the weekly parsha from a Hasidic perspective by R. Eliakim Getz ben Jacob Joseph. The title page begins with versified praise for the book, states that it is, “pure words” (Psalms 12:7); “they desire that God should be near” (Isaiah 58:2). There is a brief introduction from the author in which he explains how he named Imrei Emet, is a gematriot of R. Eliakim and his father’s names. The text follows, in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words, which are in square letters.

R. Eliakim Getz ben Jacob Joseph of Ostrog (d. 1894) was the Admor of thousands. He was the son-in-law of R. Hayyim Isaac Mianova. He succeeded his father as Admor in אורזישמשב. He subsequently served in several other locations. He was succeeded by his son, R. Jacob Joseph, son-in-law of R. Abraham Samuel of ברזנה.
