Description		    Responsa in two volumes from R. Sinai ben Jekuthiel Zev Schiffer. The title page of the first volume states these responsa are to queries that he received from near and far, and that R. Schiffer was rav and av bet din of the community of Karlsruhe. The book can be purchased from the book dealer Isaac Rabinowitz of Karlsruhe, Kriegsst. 132. The printer was Lipman Kohen. There are introductory remarks followed by prefatory remarks by the author’s son-in-laws, Dr. Solomon Menahem ליעבען of Prague, R. Shimon ha-Levi Adler director of the Talmud Torah in Prague, and Dr. Elia Wiel of Karlsruhe. Part one has twenty six responsa, part two, which continues the enumeration from the previous volume, has thirty three, for a total of fifty nine. That volume concludes with an index of the responsa, which are on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh. The vast majority are on Orah Hayyim and Yoreh De’ah, eight only are on Even ha-Ezer and two on Hoshen Mishpat.
