Description
Against divisions and disputes among Jews by R. Shelomoh Hayim ben David ha-Kohen Tikotshinski. On the title page R. Tikotshinski states that he promises the reader that he will not engage in contrasting opinions or concepts, but rather this work is dedicated to the concept of strengthening the unity of our people. He requests the reader to not take it lightly. Bur rather to reread it two and three times. He signs it, as being from one who loves peace and pursues peace, R. Shelomoh Hayim ha-Kohen Tikotshinski, author of ha-Hinukh ha-Yisre'eli (Jerusalem, 1919). The text, set in a single column in square letters, is divided into eight chapters. In the first chapter R. Tikotshinski makes it clear that it is noit his purpose to speak lashon ha-ra and how terrible is dispute and arguments, something emphasized by our sages. Sha’elu Shalom Yerushalim is an exposition developing those themes, personal development and growth, with references to basic Jewish sources.
