Novellae on the tractates in Seder Kodashim, in collaboration with R. Mordecai Asher, rabbi of Brzezany. It was brought to press at the express wish of R. Jacob Isaac ha-Levi Horowitz, at the expense of R. Joseph Jacob Koppel באטשיס and with the assistance of his nephew R. Eliezer Zev. The verso of the title page has the author’s introduction, followed by the approbation of R. Eliezer Zev, and from R. Jacob Orenstein, R. Jacob Isaac ben Abraham ha-Levi Horowitz, and R. Abraham Hayyim ben Gedaliah. The text is in two columns in rabbinic type excepting headers and initial words.
R. Abraham Hayyim ben Naftali Zevi Hirsch Schor was a Galician rabbi. He died at Belz, a small town near Lvov, Jan. 3 (or 23), 1632, where he was buried. He served as rabbi in Satanow and later in Belz, and, according to Lewinstein (in Ir Tehillah), in Lvov too. In addition to Zon Kodashim, R. Schor wrote: Torat Hayyim (part i., Lublin, 1624; part ii., Cracow, 1636), novellæ on nine treatises of the Talmud and Kontres Bedek ha-Bayit, notes on the part of the Shulhan Aruk, Eben ha-Ezer that deals with divorces (hilkot gittin), printed with R. Judah Aryeh b. David's Gur Aryeh (Amsterdam, 1733). R. Schor is quoted by Benjamin Aaron Salnik in his responsa Mas'at Binyamin (No. 88), and by Delmedigo in his Elim. |

בהוצאה זו נשמט מן השער שמו של ר' חיים, נכד המחבר. מהקדמתו של ר' חיים נשמטו הקטע האחרון, שנת כתיבתה וחתימתו. גם הקטע "להודיע לרבים ..." נשמט ומגוף הספר נשמטו כל סימני השושנה והעיגולים. הסכמות: ר' יעקב אורנשטיין, לבוב, כו אדר תקע"א;
