Blessings to a disciple in Zfat. R. Menahem Nahum Friedmann Rebbe of Itcani-Stefanesti (1873–1933), the son of R. Abraham Heschel of Adjud, was an erudite scholar and kabbalist who wrote works on hasidut, philosophy, and kabbalah. Printed are Divrei Menahem (Cracow 1913); Ha-Halom u-Pitrono (Chernovtsy 1925); Al ha-Adam (Kishinev 1932); Al ha-Emet ve-ha-Sheker (Kishinev 1925). His court attracted many disciples who sought his advise and blessings. He passed on of a sudden illness at the age of 59 in Vienna where he had travelled for treatment. |
