Seder means “order,” and refers to the fifteen symbolic parts of the meal performed in consecutive order. The feast is opened with 1) Kadeish the standard Kiddush, followed by 2) Urchatz, the washing-the-hands ritual done with out a blessing.3) Karpas, a vegetable slice is dipped in salt water representing the tears of the Jewish slaves. 4) Yachatz, break the middle matzah . 5) Maggid, tell the Exodus story by reading it from the Hagadah. 6) Rachtzah, the washing-the-hands ritual done before 7) Motzi and 8) Matzah, reciting the blessings over the matzah and then eating some, respectively. 9) Maror, eating a bitter herb. 10) Koreich, the marror placed between two pieces of matzah and eaten together. 11) Shulchan Orech,( or Set Table)the actual meal.The Seder wraps up with 12) Tzafun, or eating the afikomen. 13) Beirach, Grace after Meals. 14) Hallel, or praises to G-d, and 15) Nirtzah , a short concluding statement.
