Description |

A volume on faith written by R. Michael ben Elijah Deutsch (1811-1884), formerly of Siauliai, Lithuania. He is referred to on the title page as R. Michael Brod, an acronym for ben Rav Eliyahu Deutsch. The volume also includes two responsa answering questions placed to R. Deutsch by R. Zvi Hirsch (ben Mordechai Zeev) Orenstein of Lemberg and by R. Yehuda Aryeh Leib Balchover )otherwise known as R. Aryeh Leibush ben Elijah Lifshitz, author of Arugat HaBosem and Shem Aryeh. The final section is an explanation of a Midrash from Vayikra Rabba.
There is a note on the bottom of the last page that approbations and a list of donors who helped publish this volume will appear in upcoming sections.
