Description
   On synonyms and antynoms in the Talmud and midrashic literature by Zemach Rabbiner. The title is Beitraege zur hebraeischen Synonymik in Talmud und Midrasch (Contributions to the Hebrew Synonyms in Talmud and Midrash), and a subtitle that states that it is explanations of biblical synonyms, completely collected and arranged for the first time. This, the first part, is on Synonyme Nomina. It is described as the inaugural thesis of the high philosophical faculty of der Grossherzoglich-Badischen Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg Ruprecht Karl University Heidelberg for the acquisition of the title Doctor of Philosophy. The verso of the title page informs that the second volume of this work dealing with biblical synonyms for verbs will appear towards the end of the year. The book is dedicated to the author’s late father, Baer Rabbiner. Next is a detailed introduction, addressing parts of speech and contributions from other languages, and then the text, which is in alphabetic order. Entries are in German with occasional Hebrew and there are extensive footnotes.
