Description		    Only edition. 80, [1] ff., 198:127 mm., wide margins, light age staining, stamp, old hand. A very good copy bound in contemporary half cloth and marbled paper boards.
          
Detailed
Description		    According to the title page, this is a history of the world in two parts. Part I covers the beginning of history until the discovery of America, and Part II covers the period from the discovery of America until the French Revolution. It includes an index and a list of printing corrections. The present volume is volume one of a two volume set. A second volume was published in Lemberg in 1860 and covers the period from the French Revolution(1789) until 1852.

Approbations included are from R. Avraham Yaner, R. Moshe Yaakov Dembitzer, R. Avraham Meir Greuner, and R. Yisrael Yehuda Leib Segal, R. Mordechai Winter, R. Mordecahi Weissman Hyatt. The three pages following the introduction consist of a list of names of people who promised to purchase the book.

Interestingly, the inside of the front cover has a bookplate that indicates that this book was donated in1947 to the Central Library in Warsaw that was run by the Central Committee for the Jews of Poland and the Committee of Holy Congregations in Poland. It was one the books that was saved from destruction during the Holocaust years of 1940-1945.
