This volume, which was written in the post World War I period, emphasizes the solidarity of American Jews with European Jewry and the need to help by raising funds for the Jews of Europe who were suffering the social and economic hardships that followed the war. R. Nisan b. Azriel Selig Yablonski (1877-1928) was also the author of Nitsane Nisan (St. Louis 1930), commentaries on the Talmud. He had been a Rabbi in Slobodka and in Kovno before coming to America in 1922. |
