Detailed
Description
This broadside is a polemic against the manner of dress and behavior of the young people who belong to the sports team “ Maccabim”. This team is part of a group called Hag Ha-perachim which , the broadside maintains, has profaned the name of Heaven and the sanctity of Jerusalem by young men and women mixing together without modesty. Therefore the Bet Din Tzedek is warning to stay far away from these groups. The broadside continues to say that this warning is not just for the moment.

It continues its warnings by mentioning the Cinematograph where there is mixing of men and women. “Open your eyes”….”Pay attention”…”Watch your sons and daughters”…and “The Guardian of Israel will guard over us from all evil …”

The broadside is stamped with two seals –of the Bet Din Tzedek of Edat Ashkenazim Haredim and another from the same organization that mentions Jerusalem, the holy city. There is also a Turkish tax stamp affixed to the page. The printing was obviously done after the stamp was already on the page.
