Description		    The title of this book, which is written in Judeo-Arabic, means an “ode to Jerusalem”. A kasida or qasida is an Arabic poem, usually in monorhyme, that may be satirical, elegiac, threatening, or laudatory. The first section of the book is a memorial to those Jews who perished in the riots in Hevron and other cities in 1929, including a listing of individual names. That is followed by three parts called Ketzat Hannah, Ketzat Iyov (Job) and Ketzat Asarah Haruge Malkhut. These are lamentations written in poetic form .
