The subtitle reads: a practical handbook for Jewish women of traditional customs and observances. The book appeared in two volumes. Vol. 1: On women's duties and activities in the Jewish household. Vol. 2: On the personal duties of a Jewish wife.

The present volume is vol. 2 of this set. It discusses the laws of Jewish family purity, the laws of Niddah (ritual impurity), the laws of Mikvah (the ritual bath) and the special laws that apply to a bride and to a woman who has just given birth.
