This is a diatribe (in Yiddish) against the condition of American orthodoxy. It begins with the statement that all of American orthodoxy is controlled by 3 "mean" people, R. Yisrael Rosenberg, Harry Fischel and Leon (Louis) Kamicky.
For example, he complains that there is a new building for HIAS and wonders if the money should not have been used elsewhere. He speaks about the Central Relief Committee , Ezras Torah, Yeshiva Rabbi Yitzhok Elchanan , Keren HaYesod, Shas Printing, Mizrachi. At the end he lists other circulars which he has had printed, and gives his address for those who wish to be in contact with him.
Harry Fischel was a prominent Jewish New York City businessman and philanthropist at the turn of the 20th century. He was treasurer of the Central Relief Committee. He donated substantial funds towards the founding of Yeshiva College. Aside from his generous philanthropic contributions, Harry Fischel was a role model who demonstrated by example that it was possible to be an observant Jew and to reach and maintain the heights of success financially, philanthropically, and socially without sacrificing one's loyalty to Jewish law, and that it was possible to maintain this status despite donating so much of one's time and assets to charitable organizations.
R. Israel Rosenberg was the first vice-president of the Isaac Elchanan Seminary, Rosenberg was a founder of the JDC, and chaired the Central Relief Commission delegation to Europe in 1924. He was also a founder of the Ezras Torah Fund, which aided Jews during both world wars. He met with Roosevelt to obtain assurance that Nazis would be punished.
Louis Kamicky was publisher of the Yiddish daily, the Tageblatt (Jewish Daily News) and served as President of the Central Relief Committee.
The author, R. Shalom Eliezer Rogozin, is also the editor of an edition of Nefesh Ha-Hayim by R. Hayim Volozhiner.
