Description		    Tri-part commentary on Pirkei Avot with addenda on the essence of this world and the sound of the shofar by R. Nissan Stolzberg. The title page gives the preceding information and below in German the title and R. Stolzberg’s address in Vienna, 20., Heinzelmanngasse Nr. 18/11. There is an approbation from R. Isaiah First, av bet din of the Adat Yisrael Shiffschule, Vienna. R. Stolzberg’s introduction follows, and then the text in a single column in square letters. Pirkei Avot is at the top of the page and below the commentaries, which consist of Pirhei ha-Aviv, which explains the contents of Pirkei Avot; Va’ad Hachamim, which is likkutim; and Toledot Hachamim, which discusses the Tannaim in the Mishnah. The second part of the volume is Osher ha-Nezah, which clarifies basic issues. It is organized in thirteen brief chapters, several subdivided into simanim. The last part of the book is Kola de-Shofar, which is a homiletic discourse on the subject. The book concludes with a list of the subscribers who made publication possible. The front leaf of this copy has a dedicatory page signed by the Der Verfasser (author) who describes himself as Rabbiner des Tempelrereines xx Treustrasse t.
