Responsa.
R. Mordecai b. Joseph Berdugo (Ha-Marbiz, 1715–1762), was the grandnephew, pupil, and son-in-law of R. Moses b. Abraham Berdugo, and a noted dayyan (after 1748) in Meknes. He wrote many works, of which, however, only Divrei Mordekhai has been published; others are still extant in manuscript. The Berdugo Family consists of many distinguished rabbis in Morocco, chiefly in Meknes; according to tradition, the family is of Davidic descent.
