Description		    R. Joseph ibn Zur was a younger brother of the Yavetz, and died a young man when scalding oil was poured on his legs. The letter, actually three in one letter, expresses grief and condolences. Divided into three paragraphs, each paragraph by a different writer. Represented are: R. Joseph b. Batits, R. Judah ibn Zur; R. Baruch b. Moses Toledano (d. 1712), all were rabbis and dayanim in Meknes, and signed legal decisions.
