Description		    Discourses by R. Hananel Habif. The title page has a border made up of three rows of florets and a crown near the bottom of the page. The text states that “a strong tower” (Psalms 61:4, Proverbs 18:10) this is the Torah. Clear halakhah from Sinai. It is dated with the verse, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10). There are introductions (approbations) from the rabbis of Izmir, R. Hayyim Isaac Algazi, R. David Amado, and R. Raphael Ashkenazi and an introduction from R Galibi Habif. The text, in two columns in rabbinic type, is comprised of seven discourses by R. Habif, likkutim on the parashat, a discourse from the R. Habif’s son, R. Nissim Abraham known as Galibi Habif, brief novellae on the language of the Rambam, and responsa. Migdal Hananel was arrenaged by R. Phineas de Segura, a student of R. Habif, and edited by R. Jacob ben Nissim Abraham Habif, the autghor’s grandson. The volumen concludes with an index.
