Description
Polemic involving Munkacs Hasidim and its leaders concerning a bitter dispute. The title pages says that this work is written in response to the fraudulent (forgery) letters written by their opponents and those that defame the righteous gaon, Sinai and uprooter of mountains, of the family of repute, R. Yoshea Grunwald, av bet din Khust. The title is from “That I might make you know the certainty of the words of truth” (cf. Proverbs 22:21). The text, in a single column in rabbinic type, begins that it is not worthy to be preoccupied with such falsehood which has not before been heard, but the other side must be heard, and certainly they will stand in judgment before the Judge of all the world. The author notes the tears shed on the profanation of the Holy Name, that the accused refused to go, even one time before da’at Torah. Koshet Divrei Emet is comprised of letters and writings from R Isaac Meir Gutman, the Admor R. Hayyim Eliezer Shapira, and many others.
