Description		    Essays and studies on aspects of Jewish history from Dr. Moritz Güdemann. There is a dedication to Professor Dr. H. Graetz, a forward from Dr. Güdemann dated August, 1876 followed by a table of contents and corrections, and the text, which is in a single column in Fraktur excepting occasional Hebrew. There are six lectures, the first being comprised of seven parts. That study, entitled Mythenmischung in der Hagada: Ein Beitrag zur jüdischen Sagengeschichte, wie zur Mythologie der Aegypter (myth in the Haggadah: A contribution to Jewish historical legends similar to the Egyptians, Phonecioans, and Greeks), is the longest in the book (pp. 1-64). The last essay is Joshua ben Hanania and Christianity.
