Description		    A sermon by L. Frankfurter, Rabbinatskandidat (rabbinical candidate). Gotteslichter auf Erden was delivered on Versöhnungstage 5617 (reconciliation day, 1856) in Filialbethause (House of prayer) in Weintraubengasse. There is a dedication to his venerable father (ehrwürdigen väter) R. Joseph Frankurter, rabbi in Triesch, a town in Moravia, with a Jewish community from the fifteenth century. Frankurter dediates it with Erstlingsopfer kindlicher Dankbarkeit (first born childlike gratitude). The text, in thre parts follows. The first part only has a Hebrew heading, “O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord” (Isaiah 8:5). The text begins, with that quite in German, Haus Jakob, kommt, lasst und wallen in Lichte Gotess. The text is in a single column in Fraktur with occasional Hebrew.
