A travel guide to Palestine by Jesaias Press with the cooperation of Hugo Hermann (1887-1940). It includes 8 folding color lithograph maps and 10 folding lithograph plans printed in 2 colors bound in. With 18 maps and plans to the text. Tables. Six appendices, indices. Endpaper maps.
Press pays special attention to the major cities of Haifa, Tel-Aviv, Jaffa, and Jerusalem, and continues to Trans-Jordan and Syria. In the appendices he gives a full list of all Jewish villages in Palestine at the time, a glossary of Hebrew words, and a concordance of Biblical places mentioned in the guide.
Press was also the author of Die juedischen Kolonien Palaestinas, and Hermann was the prolific author of Die Araberfrage Palästinas, Chad gadja, Edom, Generalkarte von Palaestina [cartographic material], Keren Hajessod and many others.
