Detailed Description |
|
Kosher certificate by R. Aaron Samuel Aszod (1830–1905), rabbi of Dunaszerdahely. The son of R. Judah Aszod he was born in Dunaszerdahely and received his early education from his father and R. Ezriel Hildesheimer, rabbi of Eisenstadt and Berlin. He studied in the yeshiva of R. Benjamin Sofer, the Ktav Sofer and was ordained by him. An erudite scholar and prominent rabbi he wrote and published many works including his father's responsa. R. Aszod was the son in law of R. Yom Tov Glaszer of Nickolsburg where he resided for several years before assuming his father rabbinical position in Dunaszerdahely. |
