Description
Songs, poetry and halachot for Purim in Ladino. Ladino religious literature had its origins in pre-expulsion Spain, it was only in exile, however, that it really developed. The major original translations include the Book of Psalms (Constantinople, 1540); the Pentateuch (Constantinople, 1547); the Prophets (Salonika, 1572); and a complete translation of the Bible by R. Abraham ben Isaac Assa (Constantinople, 1739–45), which became the most popular text among the Sephardi communities of the East.

רובו בלאדינו. שם הספר נשמט מהשער ומופיע בראשי העמודים. כמו הוצאת [שאלוניקי] תקנ"ז (לה אש'וגאר די המן הרשע), דף-על-דף. השיר האחרון (סי' ראובן) שנדפס באותה הוצאה נשמט. קישוטי הספר זהים לאלה שבשער "ספר הישר", שאלוניקי תקפ"ח, שנדפס בדפוס יצחק ג'אחון. מסתבר שהפרסום הנוכחי נדפס אף הוא על ידי ג'אחון. אותיות רש"י. רומירו, קומפלאס, עמ' 41, מס' 45 (שם: תקע"ה בערך].
