Biography of the Königswarter family by Dr. R. Isaac ha-Levi Gastfreund. The front wrapper serves as the title page and states that it is based on old correspondence both old and new. It has two quotes from Proverbs, “He blesses the habitation of the just” (3:33) and “the house of the righteous shall stand” (12:7). The back wrapper, which is in German, describes the work as a bibliographicasl picuture (eine biographische Schilderung) . The Hebrew cover is followed by a dediation to Sr. Hochwohlgeboren Herrn Moritz Freiherrn von Königswarter (the high well born Sir Barron Königswarter), representative of the entire noble family from the author. The text follows in Hebrew with occasional German. The verso of the back wrapper lists several of Dr. Gastfreund’s other works.
