Description		    Only edition. 14 ff., 169:106 mm., wide margins, light age staining, lacks final. A good copy of a very rare storybook not bound. The only recorded copies lack titles, present in this copy.

Description		    Collection of four stories in Ladino: a story of the Ramban, one in Spain, another in Rome, and the story of R. Moses Hamoun and Sultan Suleiman. The final f. with two poems is not present in this copy. Ladino literature had its origins in pre-expulsion Spain, it was only in exile, however, that it really developed. The major original translations include the Book of Psalms (Constantinople, 1540); the Pentateuch (Constantinople, 1547); the Prophets (Salonika, 1572); and a complete translation of the Bible by R. Abraham ben Isaac Assa (Constantinople, 1739–45), which became the most popular text among the Sephardi communities of the East.
