Description
Rare work on the emancipation of European Jewry by Johann Saloman Klüber (Klueber). The full title is Historische und staatsrechtliche Lösung der beiden europäischen Lebensfragen über die natürlichsten Mittel der Juden-Emancipation (Historical and statutory solution of the dual European questions as to the most natural means of emancipating the Jews). It firther states that it was done to the satisfaction of Christians and Jews (Zur bleibenden Zufriedenheit von Christen und Juden, dann über ohne Gewissenswang von selbst erfolgende Abwürdigung des Talmuds). After the author’s forward is a table of contents, describing the two parts of the book. The first is Das natürlichste Mittel zur Juden-Emancipation, auf den sichersten Grundlagen . . . (The most natural means to the Jew-Emancipation, on the most certain fichersten basis . . .), and the second is, Wie kann der Talmud ohne Gewissenswang bei Juden ausser Gerbrauch kommen . . ., that is without Talmudic practices. The text is accompanied by footnotes and is set in Fraktur. A review of holdings in libraries suggests that der Juden-Emancipation is exceptionally rare.
