A sociological study of the place of women in Judaism, according to Talmudic sources by R. J. Stern, who was the Rabbi in Buttenhausen (Württemburg). He was also the author of many other books, including a number of books on Spinoza, Der politische Traktat., Gott? : Gottglaube oder Otheismus? and others. Interestingly, this volume was also published the same year in Berlin by M. Poppelauer.
