Acknowledging receipt of $500 from the Israel Ravitch Fund to be distributed to the needy, followed by R. Shakh's blessing to the donor.
R. Eliezer Menahem Man b. Azriel Shakh (1898-2001), rabbinical scholar and sage. R. Shakh was born in Vabalninkas, Russia and was educated in the yeshiva of R. Isser Zalman Meltzer whose daughter he married. His scholarship and reputation are well known to the readership; the thousands that sought his advice and counsel; the thousands he assisted in times of need; above all the numerous students he educated over his illustrious and very fruitful lifetime. |
