An announcement to the Haredi community of Tel-Aviv, Jaffa, and the surrounding area by the Edah HaHaredit of Jerusalem, under the presidency of R. Joseph Zevi Dushinsky (1868–1948) of Jerusalem , that after many years a cemetery has been arranged that will cater only to observing Jews. This cemetery will exclude those who do not keep the Sabbath, those who committed suicide, those who do eat non-Kosher food, etc. Using repeated quotes proving that it is not religiously allowed for a righteous person to be buried next to a sinner, the broadside emphasizes the benefits of the new cemetery. They are:
1) There will not be a place in this cemetery for those who do not observe the Sabbath
2) All details of the funeral, the Taharah (ritual prufication) and the burial will be done according to Minhag Yerushalayim (the prevailing custom of Jerusalem)
3) The members of the Hevra Kadisha (the Holy Society that sees to the details of Taharah and burial) will all be G-d fearing individuals
4) The entrance fees will be dedicated to charity, to strengthen Haredi education and family purity in the Holy Land
5) A kosher mikva for the Tahara will be established in the cemetery
The address and phone number of the Hevra Kadisha are given, and it is signed
"The administration".
