As a rememberance of the anniversary celebration… The volume includes an address by Dr. D. Stossel, a psalm read by Dr. D. Stössel (In Hebrew) and a Festgedict by Dr. J. Ruff (in poem form).
R. Dr. Wasssermann(1811-1892) was born in Gunenhausen and served as a Rabbi in Mühringen. In 1873 came to Stuttgart as the Rabbi (and he held this office until 1892). R. Dr. Wassermann was the recipient of many honors. On Oct. 2, 1888, he celebrated his jubilee of office, and on July 16, 1891, his eightieth birthday, receiving the greetings of king, government, and community. R. Dr. Wassermann died in 1892 in Stuttgart. He was the author of a volume on Judah Touro, which has been published in a few languages. It was first published in Stuttgart in 1875 in German with the title Judah Touro. Ein Gentleman semitischer Abstammung.
