Rare memorial lecture for Carl Henmann by Dr. Julius Oppenheimer. The title page describes it as Predigt zur Gedächtniss – feier unseres verstorben (commemorative lecture for our late) Carl Henmann on Sepember 7, 1862. It services were held in the municipals place of worship of the Jewish reform community (Gotteshause der jüdische Reformgemeinde) and the commemorative sermon was delivered by Dr. Oppenheimer. The oration is in German with infrequent Hebrew. It is set in a single column in Fraktur. Predigt zur Gedächtniss – feier is not recorded in the catalogues of libraries with important collections of Judaica, including the Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary, nor in the New York Public Library or in the Library of Congress.
