A Yizkor (memorial book) to those guards and workers who fell in the land of Israel. It includes a foreword by Martin Buber (1878-1965). The book has an index. "Aus dem Hebräischen und Jidischen übersetzt von N.N.". [Translated from the Hebrew and Yiddish by N.N.]
The first ed., in Hebrew, was published in 1912. The Yiddish ed., issued during the war, was published by the Palestine Committee of Poale Zion. The German translation is based on these two editions with the addition of some material reprinted from the periodical "Hapoel Hazair".
