Description |

Novellae and homilies by an erudite scholar of rabbinics. While the writer does not reveal his name, he identifies the source of many of the novellae transcribed. The writer was apparently a student of the Ktav Sofer as he records novellae "I learned in the Yeshiva in Presburg (Bratislava) in [5]621 or 1860-61 and [5]625 or 1864-65", married to a woman in Santov (Abauj; Abeuj; Szanto) he records the homilies delivered by the rabbi of the town at his wedding, and resided for as time in Kleinvardein (Kisvarda). |
