An announcement that a Sabbatical Year (Shemittah) will begin soon. This announcement is a dated the 13th of Sivan (usually in June, with the Sabbatical year beginning with Rosh Hashanah in approximately September). The announcement stresses the importance of the observance of the mitzvot connected with the land (of Israel) and especially with the laws of Shemittah.
Moreover, it emphasizes that it is the responsibility of the community to support those who observe Shemittah. It also asks those who will observe it to list their names. This is signed by R. Pinchas Epstein and R. Yisrael Yitzhak Reisman and R. David Halevi Jungreis.
