| A declaration by the State of Israel on the occasion of the first year anniversary of statehood declaring the day to be a Hag –a holiday.
The broadside has the symbol of the State (a Menorah surrounded by olive branches and the word Yisrael underneath it) at the head of the broadside.
"Today completes a year from the time that the burden of strangers has been lifted from out land, and the hope of generations to renew a state has arisen. A year ago Israel declared its independence and the period of our enslavement ended".
"This was a year filled with blood and sated with …sacrifices. A year of bravery of the people, thirsting for life and freedom…the year began a period of gathering in the hordes of exiles to the liberated homeland."
"The Knesset of the States has decided to establish today, the anniversary …as a holiday".
