Detailed Description |
|
Bi-lingual Hebrew-Italian celebretory verse on the occasion of the bar-mitzvah (March 17, 1934) of the author’s grandson by Jacob Eliezer Laidi Tiriski סט"א (Spehardi Tahor Italian). The entire work is attractively printed in blue ink on a light yellow paper. The front page states that it is Shir Zahav sonetto A Mario Foa. The inner leaf in facing Hebrew and Italian states that it is for the my grandson, Michel Eliezer Moses Foa (Mario Foa) born in Naples on his entering into mitzvot. It is verse for Shabbat Kodesh Vayikra and Rosh Hodesh and the month that He blessed me with peace. The Hebrew text is comprised of four stanzas, the first two of four lines the second two of three each, with the initial letters forming the name of the bar mitzvah boy. The first stanza begins, Who is as G-d, creator of heaven and earth// individual and source of live, none like Him . . .
