A German translation of the Book of Proverbs, with commentaries by Werner Carl Ludwig Ziegler (1763-1809 ). The title page states that an introduction is included, as well as philological explanations.

The text is in German, but there is frequent use of Hebrew, as a Hebrew word will precede its German explanation. There is also some use of Arabic, Latin, and Greek. The translation itself is followed by three excursi.
