Introductory work on the biblical books of Ezra and Nehemiah by R. Adolf Rosenzweig. There is a dedication to his father, Ahron Rosenzweig followed by the text in German with occasional Hebrew. The text is accompanied with scholarly footnotes and at the end of the book are endnotes.
Adolf Rosenzweig was a German rabbi, born Oct. 20, 1850, at Turdossin, Hungary, died 1918. He studied at the gymnasium at Budapest and at the rabbinical seminary of Presburg. After graduation he went to Berlin, where he studied philosophy and Oriental languages and literatures at the university, and theology at the Hochschule für die Wissenschaft des Judentums. On Oct. 20, 1874, he entered upon the rabbinate of Pasewalk, whence he was called to Birnbaum, Posen. In 1879 he went to Teplitz, Bohemia, and in 1887 he accepted a rabbinate at Berlin. In addition to "Zur Einleitung in die Bücher Esra und Nehemia" R.
