Description		    Discussion between a mitnagid and a hasid (Ephrati and Aztai), proponents and opponents of Hasidut and on the Kabbalah of the Ari. The title page that it is concerns the establishing, planting and great writings of the sages of their community, whose books are desired and longed for, choice and desirable, in a pleasant language to arouse the heart of the reader to delight in our Torah. With his great wisdom and understanding spirit he helps perfect the complete soul, allusions to goodly wisdom, expressed with the words of our sages, he explains their sayings. It further informs that his discourses instruct as to knowledge of the Kabbalah, including the peshat together with numerous allusions learned from the Ari. It is dated, “the ear tests words אוזן מלין תבחן (654 = 1894)” (Job 34:3). The verso has a warning against unauthorized reprinting from the person who brought the work to press (unidentified) and then an introduction based on I Samuel 1:1-3, beginning, “And there was a certain man of Ramathaim-Zophim . . . an Ephrathite. . . . And this man went out of his city yearly to” to see the face of the King. Printed with Vikuah ha-Hassidut is Perush Devorim ha-Kadmonim (and there is no Midrash without something novel). At the end of the valume are errata.
