Description |
|
A proclamation of the leading rabbis of the generation written on the 25th of Elul, 5716 in which they are protesting the desecration of the Sabbath by the transportation of bathers in trucks and the arising of municipal transport by different taxi companies in the holy city of Jerusalem.
They decry the situation in which the holiness of the Sabbath, which is the soul of Israel, no longer is the ideal which is followed, and they are appealing to "our brothers" to realize that the Torah and the commandments "are our lives."
