Description
Bi-lingual Hebrew Italian ethical admonition form a father to a son. The title page, in Hebrew only, states that it is a kunteres of thirteen principles, founded for a “For Torah and for testimony” (Isaiah 8:20), “right ordinances” (Nehemiah 9:13). It is “instruction of wisdom” (Proverbs 1:3) for the young of the children of Israel, “tender children” (Genesis 33:13), pure and unsullied. The title page is dated with the verse, “hat they are the seed which the Lord has blessed” (Isaiah 61:9). The text follows in two columns, the inner vocalized Hebrew, the outer Italian. Mussar Av is comprised of ethical statements from the Bible organized thematically. This copy is pristine, not having been used, as some of the pages are still attached at the top.
