On the controversy of using a steam driven mill for the grinding of flour for Passover matzohs. R. Elijah Benguigui is the head of the rabbis that permit the practice, while the opposition was led by R. Raphael Hayyim Benna'im.
R. Elijah Benguigui (b.1870) was born in Debdou, Morocco and appointed a judge in the city of Saida at the age of 26. An erudite talmudic scholar, he was the head of the rabbinical court for many years. |
