Paragraph 1    End-paper bears the inscription "R. Ezra Shrem, Mabarot Mahne David, a"y (near) Haifa, Mahne alef, Zerif (tent) 253-254-2."

R. Ezra b. Isaac Shrem (1895-1963) was the administrator and manager of the Porat Joseph Yeshiva in Jerusalem. He arrived in Jerusalem from Aleppo with his parents at the age of one and was educated in the Ohel Mo'ad Yeshiva under the tutelage of R. Solomon Laniado.
