Temoignages sur Auschwitz (Testimonies of Auschwitz) on the atrocities and horrors of the concentration camps. The title page has a drawing of a man in great pain and the letters Auschwitz in red. It informs that the book has a preface from Jean Cassou and that the drawings are by Francois Reisz. It is an edition de L’Amicale des Deportes d’Auschwitz from the Federation Nationale des Deportes et Internes, Resistants et Patriots. The title page is preceded by a photograph of the entrance to Auschwitz with a map of the infamous camp on the verso. The book is divided into four parts. The first oart consists of La science au service du progress; Les femmes á Auschwitz; 1942, Les hommes á Auschwitz; La premier journée de travail; Birkenau; L’hospital; and Le bloc 10 á Auschwitz. Part two, entitled Divers aspects de la vie du camp consists of Beirkau en 1943; Birkenau (femmes en 1943); le dimanche sanglant; le rire des bourreaux; le premiere épouillage; Malla le Belge; and Les executions massives d’avril-Septembre 1943. Next is Selections consiting of La ronde infernale; 19 janiver 1944; 27 Avril 1944; and Les crematories. The final part is Résistance et Liberation with five chapters and a conclusion.
The text is accompanied by drawings of life in the camp, including beatings and the playing of the Jewish band. At the end of the book are several photographs of the camps and its nefarious facilities.
